I don't agree with zaclab, I don't prefer more space at the top. I think that sort of things only make the picture more dull / less interesting.

What I really like about this one is the completely dark hair + scarf in combination with the soft skin and background tones. And I think the gaze is great, while not overly dramatic. You're a very pretty girl too, damn.

Could you tell me/us what kind of retouching you did? Blurring the skin?

It's not really really original, but very well executed and a great tranquil style! +9/10

is this an old photo you retouched ?
If so then why are people suggesting a different crop ?

It looks like the colours are off, possibly due to sun exposure..

White balance looks a bit off. The background could/should be whiter if you got that right (agree with almost-human).

Very nice mood and model.

Could be possibly sharper (for my taste anyway).

Thank you all for your kind and constructive comments.

I took this picture for some months ago, with my not that great camera. The only intention I had, was go get good lighting to play with in photoshop.
So, the goal with this, was to try to make a good picture, out of a not that great one, with a lot of adjustments on the colours, lights, blur, and so on.

About the lack of space on top. It doensn't bother me, but I would honestly prefer some extra space if I could. I think both things works, in seperate ways.

About the colours. I don't quite understand the thing about "the colours are off", is it something I can do about it? I have done a lot of adjustments on the light and colours, maybe not for the good, but I feel pleased after all.

Thanks again.

"The colours are off" means that the colors don't look realistic / that you've selected the wrong white balance configuration while shooting this photo. When you're shooting in RAW-format - which is supported by many DSLR camera's - you can easily adjust the white balance afterwards. But you it can be done in a similar way with a little bit of help from Photoshop.
Now it seems like the picture is covered with a blue-ish semblance. I doesn't really bother me, though. I think it doesn't necessarily have to look perfectly realistic. It's looking less digital now; a bit vintage. I like it.

Ah, thank you very much for the explanation.

Well, I agree that the colours do not look that realistic, I was just trying to create a special mood. I'm a vintage-freak, so I guess everything I make gets a little affected by that. :)

This is the picture with the white balance fixed.

The sharpness in it is better, but I kinda like the colors off like she did :)

I hate the "fixed" version posted by cupcake. Well, hate might be a strong word, but I really think the "wrong" white balance makes the photo look a lot better.. Non-digital, as someone said before ;)

The blouse looks a bit overexposed, though.

Nice work!
